Managing Attorney

Liscah Isaboke, Esq.

Liscah Isaboke

Liscah is a Charlotte-based business and intellectual property attorney who advises entrepreneurs, business owners, and growing companies on business transactions, commercial disputes, and intellectual property protection. As the Founder and Managing Attorney of Isaboke Law Firm, PLLC, she combines transactional counsel with litigation experience to help clients structure business relationships, manage legal risks, protect valuable assets, and navigate complex legal challenges.

Her practice spans the legal issues businesses encounter throughout their lifecycle, from formation and ownership structuring to contract negotiations, strategic transactions, and commercial litigation. Liscah advises clients on operating agreements, licensing arrangements, service and vendor contracts, business partnerships, ownership transfers, and corporate governance matters. She approaches each engagement with an understanding of how legal decisions affect a company's financial exposure, operational flexibility, and long-term business objectives.

When business relationships break down, Liscah represents clients in commercial disputes involving breach of contract, ownership and partnership conflicts, business torts, and intellectual property infringement. Her litigation practice includes matters in North Carolina state courts and the United States District Court for the Western District of North Carolina. This experience informs her transactional work, allowing her to anticipate potential conflicts, negotiate stronger contractual protections, and develop legal strategies with enforceability and potential litigation in mind.

Liscah also maintains an intellectual property practice focused on protecting the brands and creative assets businesses depend on. She counsels clients on federal trademark registration, trademark clearance, licensing, infringement concerns, and responses to refusals issued by the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). Her work helps businesses establish, maintain, and defend their intellectual property rights as they expand into new markets and pursue commercial opportunities.

Before founding her firm, Liscah gained in-house legal experience in the intellectual property department at SAS Institute, a global analytics and artificial intelligence software company headquartered in Cary, North Carolina. She also developed practical intellectual property experience through North Carolina Central University School of Law's USPTO-certified patent clinic. These experiences strengthened her understanding of intellectual property protection within technology-driven businesses and the relationship between legal strategy and commercial innovation.

Liscah earned her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from North Carolina Central University School of Law and her undergraduate degree from East Carolina University.

Beyond her client practice, Liscah contributes legal commentary and educational insights on emerging business and intellectual property issues, including artificial intelligence, trademark disputes, brand ownership, and legal developments affecting entrepreneurs. Her commentary has appeared in media coverage addressing technology and the legal implications of digital platforms.

In 2021, Liscah founded Isaboke Law Firm to provide strategic, business-focused legal representation grounded in clients' commercial objectives. As both an attorney and business owner, she understands the importance of balancing legal protection with practical business decisions. Through transactional representation, intellectual property counsel, commercial litigation, and ongoing fractional general counsel services, she serves as a legal advisor to businesses seeking to protect their interests, navigate growth, and build sustainable operations.
